Very good points. That is EXACTLY what has stopped me. My time is very limited, and at home I would rather spend time with my son that try to figure things out. So, yes the limited documentation has kept me away.

And the really, really sad part is, Jini a very cool project. Kind of like Apple Bonjour but much, much more powerful.
